In a statement, the largest hoteliers association in the Algarve, created in 1995, explained that this management advisory body was already provided for in its statutes, but had never been formed.
30 members from the various economic activities that make up the association and with regional representation were invited to the new AHETA body, based in Albufeira.
The new general council “intends to advise, suggest, comment and give its critical sense to the activity of the association and the sector”, says the statement.
The first meeting of the new general council took place on October 16, with the coordination of José Carlos Leandro, assisted by José Queiroga Valentim, “invited by the management for this mission”.
At this meeting, the objectives intended for the general council were presented and topics of interest to the sector were also discussed.
“Another form of active participation by members in the life of the association has thus been implemented”, concludes the note, which is signed by the president of AHETA, Hélder Martins.
AHETA is a non-profit association, created in 1995, with the aim of representing companies in the hotel, tourist real estate and entertainment sectors, including local accommodation entrepreneurs.
