After reaching the highest position in the Marketing Department of Madame Tussauds in New York, in 2021, Tiago Mogadouro will take over the executive management of what is one of the most famous museums in the world.

The Portuguese manager takes on the challenge of leading the recently renovated attraction of the Merlin Entertainments group located in Times Square, which is one of the most famous museums in the world and where he had previously held the position of Head of Marketing.

This nomination comes as a recognition of his career at Madame Tussauds in New York. As head of the Marketing department, Tiago Mogadouro was directly involved in the launch campaigns of more than 30 celebrity personalities such as Cristiano Ronaldo, Mariah Carey, Harry Styles, Beyoncé and Matthew McConaughey, as well as new areas such as the Glow Gala, Seasons of New York City, Icons of Horror and NYE in NYC, which came to revitalise the Museum and whose development represented an investment of tens of millions of dollars.

The campaign to launch the figure of Cristiano Ronaldo, in particular, which he developed in partnership with Turismo de Portugal, was the most successful ever of all Madame Tussauds museums globally, having reached an audience of 1.2 billion people and made Cristiano Ronaldo the first athlete to do a Times Square takeover.

Tiago Mogadouro's professional career began in 2008, at Walt Disney World, in Florida. Back in Portugal, he started working as a Marketer at Expanding Group, later assuming the role of Marketing Manager of the Portuguese Swimming Federation.

His career in the Merlin Entertainments group began in 2016, as a Marketing Assistant at SEA LIFE Porto, where he quickly rose to the positions of Marketing Executive and Marketing Director. In 2020, his passion for Marketing led him to move to New York, having assumed the position of Marketing Director of Madame Tussauds, then occupying, in 2021, the role of Head of Marketing.
